3 Ways Designers Try to Write Arabic in Photoshop — And the One That Finally Works

If you have ever tried to type a single word in Arabic, Hebrew, or Urdu inside Adobe Photoshop, you already know the feeling. You press the first key. The letter appears on the right side of the text box. You press another key. The second letter appears to the left of the first. The issues compound when you need to edit. Made a typo after pasting? You cannot just click to place the cursor and fix it — Photoshop will not position the cursor correctly in RTL text. You often end up deleting the whole text layer and starting the copy-paste cycle again.

And if your text includes Hebrew vowel markers (Nikud) or Arabic diacritical marks (Tashkil), the problem gets even worse. These small marks are attached to base characters in specific ways that require proper RTL rendering support. Copy-pasting them through a non-RTL-aware application almost always mangles them.
